By "old " they mean the ones that sit in the best and most expensive land ,don't belong to Society and are easy to sell .The congregation of that Hall will have to relocate to a nearby converted garage that they will have to refurbish free labour and will have to pay to the Society .
4 THINGS ACHIEVED in one move :
1. Grabb all cash held in the old congragation's accounts and dismandle.
2.Sell prime land and building.
3.Get them to build a new building from scratch with their free labour a building that won't belong to them.
4. Get them to sign a loan to the Watchtower for the priveledge of using this building.
5. 10-20 YEARS down the line REPEAT 1-4
6. Who said religion isn't a lucrative business?
Oh ,did I forgot to mention ? Call this a blessing from God!

Most sat there oblivious to the real meaning of the letter.When their Kingdom Hall is sold off and they have to drive 20 miles away to the nearest multi -KH having to share with other 4 congregations then the penny will drop

I posted here a week ago some disturbing news for congregations being consolidated in Britain. My goodness that was nothing ! A letter was read today from Bethel addressed to all congregations in Britain that can only be described as the biggest news for years.The main points:
1. All cash reserved from congregations for purchase of land, renovations and building of Kingdom halls will be send to Bethel (this is the biggest robbery of the century. )
2.Congragations will be consolidated and up to 4 congregations will use one Kingdom Hall (the letter actually says "since there is only one meeting during the week up to 4 congregations will have to use it".)
3.Old Kingdom Halls will be sold (who defines which is old ? It sounds more like a pretext for selling off prime land)
4 . Consolidation of congregations , they actually said the word.

by raymond frantz in/from reliable sources (brothers in position within the congragation) i've been informed that in two different location within the uk congragations are to be consolidated .these men are loyal to the society and have no contact with ex-jw community .many brothers and sisters within these 4 congragations are devasted and undertantably very upset .one of these congragation has in excess of 150k in the bank currently "held" by the society as a loan .do you have any more information on this ?
is this just a one off or a new trend ?.

Even though consolidation maybe justifiable at times I can't help but notice that the Society pushes for consolidation and merging of congregations when their accounts are healthy and in the tens of thousands of pounds .I'll keep an eye on it for more solid evidence

no the congregations are pretty solid in numbers 100+ what they share in common is a fat bank account balance .All are in city centre's not rural .The common denominator here is that the 2 congreagations had to wait a long time for a refurbishement long needed and now they are told to move to nearby kingdom halls for no reason .So far that's what I've got...
